Lead RF Product and Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead RF Product & Test Engineer with knowledge in RF ideally as applied to wireless professional video, and/or airborne equipment. The ideal candidate will have in-factory leadership experience testing low volume-high mix RF products containing power amplifiers, transceivers, FPGAs, microprocessors, and Software incorporating the Linux operating systems. This position will involve test engineering, component engineering and technical support responsibilities.  This is a perfect opportunity for an individual who daily enjoys technical challenge and wants to broadly utilize and grow their leadership skills within the Mt. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate factory testing, including driving RF spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, and video source equipment at both the subsystem and system levels to create high repeatable products
• Cross-functional team member for New Product Introduction, providing technical feedback as an expert in design for manufacturability
• Utilize and advocate JTAG scan chain methods for PCBA tests for in-circuit tests (ICT)
• Act as a subject matter expert for Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical requests related to the equipment and products sold.
• Assist with component level debugging complex factory issues beyond technician level for transmitters, modulators, receivers, and electromechanical tracking antennas, at the IC and transistor level. 
• Coach and teach technicians to improve their skills
• Collaborate with cross-functional quality improvement teams to ensure product quality and performance.
• Research potential replacements for obsolete or end of life components
• Assist Quality Assurance (QA) with root cause analysis

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Physics.
• Extensive experience with RF, video, and airborne equipment.
• Minimum of 7 years in RF PCBA or Module level Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for test engineering purposes.
• Understanding of FPGAs, processors, and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with RF spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, and video source equipment.
• Knowledge of JTAG scan chains for PCBA tests.
• Knowledge of statistics as applied to quality control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma training and certification
• Professional video product experience
